What does “bring your own content” mean?
It means the tool works with media you already have, not only media it generated. In VibeDay you upload your own videos, images and audio, and from that point they behave exactly like AI-generated assets: the same library, the same browser editor, the same captions, the same calendar and the same one-click publishing to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
What file types can I upload?
Video, images and audio. Large phone video is expected — VibeDay processes each upload in the background, generating a thumbnail and a lightweight streaming preview so the editor stays responsive, while keeping your full-quality original for publishing.
Can I add captions to a video I filmed myself?
Yes. Request captions and the speech is transcribed with word-level timing, then presented as an editable transcript so you can correct wording, remove a line, or jump to a moment. The captions are burned into the rendered file and positioned inside each platform's safe zone so they aren't cropped.
Do I have to edit on a desktop?
No. Trimming, cropping, aspect-ratio presets, audio adjustments and text or logo overlays all run in the browser. The finished render is produced server-side to the spec of the platform you chose.
Can I mix my own footage with AI-generated content?
Yes, and that's the intended use. Uploaded and generated assets share one library and one set of functions, so a week's calendar can freely mix a clip you filmed, an AI image and a generated reel without moving between tools.
Can VibeDay cut a long video into short clips?
There is an AI clipping function for long-form sources, available on Pro and above and requiring a source of at least three minutes. It transcribes the video and proposes clips, with the credit cost shown before you commit. It does not do active-speaker face tracking, so it suits talking-head and interview footage rather than fast multi-speaker edits.
Does editing my own video cost credits?
Deterministic edits — trimming, cropping, aspect ratios, overlays, audio adjustments — cost no credits, because no AI model is involved. Only AI operations draw from your balance, and the cost is shown before you commit.
